A. Introduction :

AECOM International Sudan (AIS) IS an Implementing partner for USAID Project - Toward Enduring Peace In Sudan (TEPS). AIS seeks qualified candidates to apply for the following position 


Job Title: Program Analyst & Communications Officer
Project/Contract: TEPS- Sudan 
Reports to: Chief of Party (COP) 
Type of Contract: Long Term Technical Assistant, Full time, Specific Work Contract 


 

B. Primary Roles and Responsibilities 
The Program Analyst & Communications Officer coordinates closely With AIS senior management and program staff to monitor program implementation, capture program achievements, document outcomes, and draft program reports as directed by the COP and under his day-to-day supervision will be responsible for the following:


-   Lead the production of reports on program status and Impact, Including information sheets, success stones, and press releases, weekly, quarterly and annual reports.

-   Manage the TEPS program's grant documentation efforts using its database of activities

-   Contribute to monitoring and evaluation, conduct field visits, and participate in rolling assessments of program activities and program objectives

-   Assist and train program staff with writing and editing of grant-related documents and activity justifications

-   Ensure proper documentation of activities, reporting of success stories and preparation of press releases

-   Regularly monitor and document program activities including: taking photographs and videos, conducting Interviews With program beneficiaries, and submission of narrative summaries of grant activities to provide insight, lessons learned and success stones

-   Travel to field offices to attend grant events, capture outputs and outcomes, and conduct monitoring and evaluation activities Serve as a technical resource on media outreach and media-related program grants

-   Other duties as assigned 


C. Qualifications and Experience: 


-   A Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications or related field IS required

-   At least 3-5 years of professional experience in international development Including a demonstrated ability in qualitative and quantitative project repotting;

-   Demonstrated experience in project and activity monitoring, report writing and analysis and excellent written and oral communication skills,

-   Experience In conducting trainings on report writing and communications desired,

-   Flexibility and ability to work in fast paced environment highly desirable

-   Knowledge of and experience with GIS mapping is preferred but not required,

-   Proven experience producing communications on donor-funded grants programs and/or for international development organizations, it is highly desirable that this include experience in community resilience public consultations, democratic reform, and countering violent extremism programming;

-   Proven experience working on programs requiring community- level engagement, particularly with Civil society organizations,

-   Experience with making short videos; communication strategies, and managing public social media accounts,

-   Demonstrated oral and written fluency in Arabic and English is required, a written and oral test Will be administered to assess English capabilities,

-   Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office, including Access and Excel, and web-based Information management tools required;

-   Experience working in Sudan with willingness to travel outside of Khartoum highly desirable
