Vacant: Deputy General Manager — Operations

A leading Sudanese Agro- industrial company with total equity capital of more than USD 350 Million is currently peeking to fill the post of the Deputy General Manager - Operation according to the following requirement

EDUCATION, AGE, EXPERIENCE:

·         Preferably Higher University Degree in Engineering or Agriculture.

·         Knowledge of the concepts of management: this includes strategic planning, resource allocation and leadership skills, production management and coordination between employers and optimal use of resources.

·         Full knowledge and supervision of the agricultural aspects of industrial arid agricultural development especially in the cane farms

·         Full knowledge and overall operations in agriculture production, harvesting and periodic maintenance of tie farms and factories produced in the sugar sector, in addition to logistical operations fleet command, according to the latest technology.

·         Accumulated experience and advanced training in management and the sugar industry and agricultural industrialization or similar industrial.

·         At last 10 years’ experience in leadership positions, preferably in the sugar industry advanced agricultural manufacturing and other areas of manufacturing.

·         Knowledge of technical systems to monitor operations and agricultural production.

·         Age preferably to be less than 55 years old.

·         Fluency in Arabic and English.

·         knowledge of sugar industry.

·         Strategic planning skills supported with communication skills.

·         Strong Presentation skills.

·         Strong Leadership Skills.

·         An effective and enjoys the spirit of leadership and teamwork.

·         The ability to build team confidence and establishment of priorities, analysis, and conclusions.

·         The capacity to manage Crises and solutions.

·         Knowledge of risk management.

·         Knowledge of systems applications, and Information technology

·         Excellent Negotiation skills

·         Effective and efficient performance management and ability to obtain the goals

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The duties and responsibilities of the DGM -Operation include but not limited to:

·         The leadership, direction and supervision of the executive departments and units and the management of the site in an integrated manner in both field and plants management.

·         Achieving the goals according to plans, policies and regulations as well as to take responsibility for the designing and implementation of internal control systems in necessity of the achievement of the objectives of the common and generic goals.

·         Compliance of the company operations with regulations and rules.

·         The preservation and development of the rights and interests of shareholders.

·         Provide a model of strategic leadership and supporting the General Manager to supervise the preparation of the company’s strategic and operational plans in the private sector.

·         To assist the General Manager in the activities to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the management of resources.

·         The continued enchainment of productivity and targeted production.

·         Directing the operations of the company in accordance to the directives of the general manager and the board of directors.

·         The formulation and implementation of short-term and long-term objectives, policies and strategies of the company in accordance with the priorities.

·         Crete esprit de corps within departments and building team confidence to boost productivity of employees to achieve organizational objectives and accomplish the tasks in accordance with the scheduled preparations.

·         To provide out of the box solutions and propose and implement corrective actions
