Area Finance Coordinator 

Report to: Program Area Manager
Duties
 - The position manages finance team of who are located in the Programme Area and Localities. The Area Finance Coordinator leads the financial services which have an average annual budget of approximately 3 Million USD).
 - Provide leadership in financial management of Plan International Sudan Darfur Area as a member in White Nile Program Area Management Team (WNPAMT)
 - Grants finance management, donor compliance and cost recovery

Job Requirements:
 - Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Financial Management, or professional qualification in accountancy international .and additional 3 years of relevant experience.
 - A BSC degree can be substituted with an additional 5 years of relevant experience.
 -  Experience managing finances for DFID, EC, ECHO, UNDP or US Aid funded projects
 - In-depth knowledge of BMZ and GFFO financial management rules and regulations and/or other comparable major bilateral aid grant management.
 - Experience managing grant programmers or sub-granting mechanisms involving local NGOs.
 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.


Country Accountant

Reporting to: Country Finance Manager
Duties
 - Prepare complete and accurately coded payment packages and GL entries.
 - Prepare cash receipts to record all income received
 - Record the country income in SAP
 - Recording all financial transactions related to the payments in SAP
 - Contribute to the preparation of CO year end schedules and ensure they are reflected in the financial system
 - Review the petty cash settlements and do the disbursement on time

 - Prepare advance and contract monitoring reports.

Job Requirements:

 - depth knowledge of the Finance and accounting   preferably in Nonprofit making organization
 - BSC A degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification

Support Services Manager (Corporate)

Duties
 - The SSM is a member of the core Country Management Team (CMT - along with other country managers and is expected to contribute to Plan’s understanding and strategic direction in the country. He or she may be asked to deputize for CD, as required and if needed, in relation to external stakeholders
 - The SSM line manages four support services staff in the areas of procurement, administration, ICT and logistics/security
 - The SSM reports regularly to the CD on the management of all risks associated with program delivery including procurement trends, legal compliance, logistics and security
 - The SSM provides technical oversight and support to Program Area offices in managing risks and remaining compliant in the delivery of cost-effective programs
 - The SSM prepares and oversees the operation support services annual budget for the whole operation in Sudan and prepares a regular delivery analysis to the CD and the CMT
 - Upon delegation of the Country Director, the SSM may approve commitments, contracts, grants, leases, disbursements, and transfers to third parties, up to an approved delegated level of authority.


Job Requirements:
 - Post-graduate degree (MBA - in Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial Relations or related field,
 - Minimum Seven  (7 - years’ experience in Operations Managementposition ideally with an international organization

Program Area Manager

Duties
 - Plan International – is looking for strong Program Area Manager to support our organization’s mission in Sudan.
 - The Program Area Manager (PAM - will act as Plan International Sudan’s most senior representative for the Program Area. He/ She report to Deputy Country Director Programs and is responsible to lead the strategic direction in the Program Area in accordance with Plan’s strategic program framework and retains final accountability for timely and quality delivery of all Plan’s operations (e.g programs, emergency response, finance, admin and HR - in the area and in line with Plan Sudan’s approved Country Strategy (CS).
 - The PAM also provides overall strategic leadership, direction and support to the program area team to ensure timely and effective utilization of Plan’s resources for the benefit of targeted beneficiaries in the area. The post holder serves as Plan International Sudan liaison with the state government and stakeholders, to establish a good working relationship, influence decision makers on issues affecting children’s and girls and excel Plan’s visibility 

Job Requirements:
 - A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics or other related fields. Master degree is preferable.
 - At least 7 years’ experience in senior management role or Head of Programs.
 - Demonstrated experience in the integrated management of key programmatic areas such as health, education, livelihoods, disaster risk management and protection etc.
 - Knowledge of donors’ rules and conditions such as DFID, EC/ECHO, SIDA, UNICEF/UNHCR/UNDP or USAID/OFDA
 - Knowledge of socio cultural dynamics in Kassala, Darfur, White Nile and Kordofan States where Plan operates


Internal Auditor

Duties
 - Child protection: Ensure that Plan’s Child Protection Policy and related procedures are adhered to in all aspects
 - To develop, direct, and coordinate a comprehensive internal audit program and compliance review which, supports improvement of the risk management of Plan International Sudan.
 - Processes Review: Participate in the design, implementation and monitoring of all the processes required in the audit work (i.e. annual plan, standard working papers, reporting format and protocols - etc.
 - Strengthen the Risk Management processes in line with Plan International requirements through facilitation of the country risk management plan of actions, update and monitoring of the country risk register.
 - Ensure systems and procedures are in place to identify and manage risks including developing, updating and submitting countrywide risk register to the RO in line with Global Risk Management Policy, and ensuring that risks are adequately identified and treated
 - Monitor actions taken by management in response to audit reviews, ensuring that all agreed audit actions and recommendations are accurate and timely implemented.
 - Facilitate internal and external audit missions and ensure audit follow up and action lists are addressed in a timely manner, ensure that organization learns from audits and reviews so as to continuously improve its operations


Job Requirements:
 - Accredited Auditor with post-graduate degreein Audit, Finance or related field,
 - Minimum Three (3 - years’ experience in financial managerial position
 - Professional qualification & membership of recognized auditing qualifying institutions
 - Deep understanding of various CFU audit policies, procedures and practices
 - First-hand experience and knowledge of working in CFU and auditing
 - Excellent technical knowledge on audit, anti-fraud and anti-bribery areas as indicated by the duties above
 - Skills in supporting strategic planning and support services resourcing requirements

Finance Assistant

Duties
 - Ensure that all Plans’ Financial operations are conducted as per the prescription of the Operational Manual and donor’s requirements;
 - Support the analysis of the General Ledger (GL - and exception reports from the Program and Project Modules (PPM);
 - Ensure that all payments are accurate and processed on a timely manner.
 - Participate in the preparation of WN  program monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and year-end report:
 - Maintain and update regular Log book and Sub ledger for all advances, deposits, prepaid expenses, etc.


Job Requirements:
 - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
 - Minimum one-year relevant experience in a similar position
 - Good knowledge of national accounting practices, standards, procedures and regulations;
 - Computer literacy;
 - Good knowledge of accounting software as well as Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint;
 - Fluency in written and oral English and Arabic;
 - Good listening and good communication;
 - Good ability to plan. 


Education Project Manager

Duties
 - Plan’s and European Commission (EC)’ policies and procedures are continuously adhered to in the project’s planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation phases.
 - Manage  and  lead  the  project  execution  and  ensure  efficiency  in  the  processes  and effectiveness in achieving the planned objective in a manner to reach the desired outcomes and impact.
 - Lead and manage the project team, the project budget, the project risks, the project security matters, and the affairs of the project partner (National NGOs co-applicants)
 - Ensure   prompt and accurate reporting on the project to all concerned parties at the Plan International-Sudan  Country office, International Office, Donor and the Government of Sudan as deemed required  by each.
 - Manage the project budget, including project procurement management, and ensure avoidance of over/under expenditure; ensure judicious expending of the project funds; and demonstrate value for money in the outcomes and impact of the project.
 - Lead the project team develop their knowledge and skills of appropriate nature to the project; guide and motivate them towards excellence performance all through the project period and ensure continuous appraisal of the performance of each


Job Requirements:
 - Plan International is looking for an experienced Education Project Manager very familiar with EU/EC rules and conditions for grant management.
 - BSC with 07 years of experience or Master Degree in the field of education, social science or related field with at least 05 years of experience working on project management of which at least one was funded by EU/EC
 - Knowledge of ministries of education strategic plans especially approaches related to improving access, quality and governance in primary education with strong focus on girls
 - Experience in community-led intervention working with Parent Teachers Associations (PTA - and School Improvement Plan (SIP - is an advantage.


 Accountant

Report to Khartoum Country Finance Manager, Filed Area Finance Coordinator
Duties:
 - She/he will Supports in implementation of global and country financial strategies in the Country and to provide timely and reliable financial information and analysis that leads to effective decision making at the White Nile program Area Program Area as well as Ed-duweim and Alaga Sub offices.
 - Contributes to Plan International Sudan Strategic objective for finance by ensuring effective business critical support information is in place and contributing to maximize the available of resources for the program by cost effective financial processes and other operating activities by timely and accurate management reporting.
 - Provide permanent support to in –White Nile Program Area  teams and Finance team in order to improve overall transparency and accountability in Plan’s external financial report.
 - This role is involving in the review and monitoring of the PA Budget, Payment, internal financial control process, procedure and system and the monthly SAP reports.


Job Requirements:
 - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields.
 - Excellent computer skills (MS Office and major commercial accounting software applications
 - Minimum Three (3 - years’ experience in financial managerial position Strong team-building and motivational skills.
 - Strong negotiating and facilitating skills.

Country Grants Coordinator

Duties
 - Provide specialist guidance, mentoring and support on grants coordination and grant management
 - Ensure grant related reports and analysis is generated regularly and shared for action and decision-making
 - Represent Plan International at national stakeholder forums/networks, consultative sessions, or conferences on resource mobilization initiatives
 - Develop and kick start an action plan to institutionalize grants management systems in BD unit with a foresight of increasing grant coordination work in the context of increased resource mobilization target for FY19
 - Ensure grant-related information (soft & hard, SAP, proposal budgets, grant modules etc. - is consistent and reliable, updated, stored and disseminated as per donor requirements, Plan fund management standards and global audit frameworks
 - Coordinates implementation of grant-funded programs and sets up Fund Agreement Documents (FADs - as per the corporate guidelines
 - Close follow-up grant-related budget income and utilization according to FADs
 - Ensures Plan’s grant funding policies and procedures and procedures are properly adhered to during implementation
 - Build capacity of all field staff on SAP grant management systems & reporting
 - Consolidate and submit grant reports timely in line with agreed reporting requirements of donors and/or NOs


Job Requirements:
 - BSc degree in Business Studies, Social Sciences, Economics and/or any related degree
 - Minimum five year experience in a similar role in the NGO sector or with Multi-lateral / Bi-lateral funding organizations
 - Understanding of integrated development issues and critical analysis of child poverty
 - Understanding of business needs and strategic behavior to leverage people to achieve business goals
 - Experience in grants reporting and grants management Minimum Three (3 - years’ experience
 - Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Disaster Risk Management (DRM - Manager)

Duties
 - Leadership: The DRM Manager is responsible for leading the strategic design, providing the strategic direction and steering the strategic implementation of Disaster Preparedness Plans, Contingency Plans (with constant monitoring of risks and scenarios), and Emergency Response Plans, taking into consideration the followings:
 - Vulnerability of children and specially girls that influence new areas for Plan’s operations
 - Strong and evidenced advisory for GO or No Go in case of emergency
 - Plan’s Program Quality and Influencing Policies and Procedures, particularly DRM Influencing Framework 2017-2022.
 - Plan’s DRM manuals and position papers.
 - Management: The DRMM works closely with Program Area Managers and Projects Managers to implement projects on the ground and with the DRR Focal Point Person who reports to him\her on technical issues. S/He supports DRM capacity building initiatives, identifies and documents good practices and ensures humanitarian learning across the organization in Sudan, as well as knowledge management.

Job Requirements:
 - The post holder should have a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics or other related fields. Master degree is preferable. Degrees in disaster related field will be an advantage with at least 5 years of experience in relief/disaster response including management responsibility in implementing or coordinating disaster preparedness and response at national level, including with an INGO
 - Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate the whole team
 - Independent, enthusiastic with ability to accomplish duties assigned in pressured environments 
 - Good communication skills with a strong command in the English language
