The mission pharmacy technical support will work in collaboration with mission pharmacists and medical coordinators, concerning regulatory issues to be shared and respected by MSF sections working in Sudan.
Regularly update information on pharmaceutical legislation in particular importation and inform pharmacists and/or medical coordinators accordingly
Follow up the National Essential Drug List updates and advocate for change or discuss therapeutic specificities if necessary.
Perform regular meetings with the mission pharmacists/medical coordinators where pharmaceuticals information are exchanged and problems shared in order to find common solutions
Together with the mission pharmacy manager, ensure that the medical orders are compliant with the national regulations
Ensure the MSF supply policy for Sudan to be in compliance with national rules regarding legislation on imports, storage and distribution, destruction procedures
Ensure that the technical requirements from the National Quality Control Laboratory are respected by all sections (sampling order, manufacturer data, certificates of analysis …)
Liaise with MSF Purchase Centres for assuring the compliance of procurement centres procedures to the import’s rules of the country (banned manufacturers, banned products, banned dosages, patient information leaflet language, pharmacopoeia references …)
Document all problems encountered with importation in order to identify lessons to be learned
Take the lead to draft and regularly update a detailed document on importation rules implemented in the country outlining the specificities per product and shares it with the medical coordination, sections pharmacist manager and procurement centres
Ensure a coherent communication and procedures according to MOH rules
Collect monthly inventory of psychotropic and narcotics and provide the information to the Central Pharmacy as
Support the mission pharmacy manager in case of problems with pharmaceuticals importation by jointly liaising with the NMPB
By liaising with the mission pharmacy manager, ensure that the communication of OCBA section with the NMPB concerning pharmaceutical issue is maintained in a coherent line.
Act as Mission Pharmacy Manager when the current Mission Pharmacy Manager is absent for leave, training or sickness etc.
Attend MSF medical meetings as requested by medical coordinator.
Elaborate short monthly activity reports as well as a final report with recommendations.
Education:Bachelor degree in pharmacology, with good experience and valid license to practice
Experience:2 year Knowledge in Isystock management, procurement centres and procedures
Languages:Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic
Computer:Essential computer literacy (word, excel, internet)
Competencies:Professionalism and problem solving capacity, good communication skills, ability to work in a team, good organisational and management skills
